Hello, I’m Leah Campbell Johnson.
My passion for writing, producing and all things related to the media industry began in Los Angeles, California where I was born and raised. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working alongside some of the best reporters, anchors and producers in the industry. I was afforded the opportunity to sharpen my skills by gaining invaluable hands on experience as an intern at KCBS and KCAL 9 News in Los Angeles.
I earned my bachelors degree in Mass Media Arts and Communications from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. With more than 20 years of experience in journalism, producing, and public relations, I have covered stories and events that range from the destructive California wildfires, all the way to catastrophic hurricanes bearing down on the Gulf Coast. My work in this business has also allowed me to produce award winning work, which includes an Edward R. Murrow Award for best news team coverage of Central Georgia's Mother's Day tornadoes and aftermath.
After a wide-ranging career in television news, I founded Anchor Pro Video which works to produce promotional videos for businesses and individual professionals. Many of our clients are business owners who want professionally shot and edited videos to showcase their products or services online and across all social media platforms.
Our team’s extensive experience in journalism, field producing and the television news industry as a whole, inspired us to start the company. But instead of producing videos featuring the top news stories of the day, we set our sights on telling the stories of real people who strive to be successful and make a difference in their careers and businesses. We also saw a need to offer promotional video support services to community organizations and charities. Research has proven, video is the fastest way to show your audience or potential employer why they should do business with you.
